Job Description:

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:   Position exists to keep all areas in the Production, Distribution, Receiving and Warehousing departments and packaging area of the Facility including Breakrooms & Restrooms in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following:


  • Support Safety efforts and contribute to Safety Awareness on a daily basis. Report safety incidents in a timely   manner.
  • Actively participate in maintaining a “Food Safe” environment for our ST Specialty Foods and our “Customers”.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines.
  •  Perform detailed cleaning in production and warehousing areas per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Complete all required sanitation paperwork daily and in an accurate manner.
  • Support wet wash processes in production as needed. This may include disassembly and assembly of equipment.
  • Perform special sanitation projects sometimes with little prior notice. Daily or weekend overtime may be required to complete these projects.
  •  Perform special cleaning & disinfecting procedure for blood borne pathogens, when needed on the plant floor and equipment– blood and biohazard clean up
  • Support sanitation requirements for maintaining and supplying rest rooms and other areas as assigned.
  • Mix and provide sanitation chemicals for personal assignments and to support needs in other areas.
  •  Transport trash and waste to disposal area. Maintain a constant vigil to pick up waste and debris. Clean up ingredient spills immediately.
  • Participate in improvement projects to support Continuous Improvement and Sanitation Improvement directions.
  • Support “Food Safety” efforts by reporting pest and debris issues to the Quality Department.
  • Able to adjust work Schedule to suite our business needs during Audits Schedules and Plant Tours as needed
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently
  •  Other duties may be assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Desire and willingness to learn and accept responsibility. Prefer over 3 months up to and including 12 months of qualifying experience on related work or including lower level jobs within or outside the company


LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read in English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with employees.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Simple use of charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, adjustable measuring instruments. Check reports, where interpretation requires basic skills knowledge.


REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: GMP and safety certification, Forklift Certified including aerial / scissor lift certifications required or need to be certified up on hiring in order to operate safely.
