Job Description

Responsible for verification, counting and cycle counting of physical inventories in the plant. This role is also responsible for re-locating materials and ingredient to the proper and appropriate locations as specified on the respective items: allergens.  




Essential Functions

To perform jobs successfully, the incumbent will be required to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.  The company reserves the right to modify, delete or add to the essential functions for the Maintenance position at any time.





  • Maintaining physical inventories and performing daily and weekly cycle counts and reconciliations and adjustments, including:  counts stock of all materials and all inventory storage locations to correct inaccuracies, correct blank locations and to track inventory and have it moved to the correct location.



    • This includes tracking aged inventory



    • Accountable to ensure cycle count schedules are being met.



    • Initiates systems transaction to generate and complete cycle counts.



    • Performs physical counts out on the floor.



    • Responsible for root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and reporting.



  • Performing all functions for maintaining inventory accuracy; investigating and reporting discrepancies where required



  • Assists Warehouse Manager and Team Leads to track problems with orders or inventory which includes assisting warehouse personnel with questions or problems.



  • Keeping appropriate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security are maintained and running adjustment inventory reports for management as needed.



  • Operating a forklift or walk-behind pallet truck to load, ship, sort, move, locate, relocate, stack, restack and count materials



  • Maintain accountability for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and comply with all applicable safety rules and SOPs and GMPs



  • Ensuring proper stock rotation, returning and organizing unused products to its appropriate location



  • Working with QA and Team Leaders on quantity and quality deviations



  • Comply with all food safety regulations outlined by the Quality Department for all raw materials and finished goods



  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels are available for production.



  • Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; reporting quality variances where applicable



  • Efficiently stacking and storing merchandise in appropriate areas



  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area



  • Ensure that operations are conducted in a manner that promotes health and safety



  • Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards



  • Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed



  • Participate in special projects/assignments when needed



  • Identify and report discrepancies and report to supervisor immediately
    Will possess and maintain a good attendance and work record.




  • Will train employees coming into the classification of all duties that are required of this position.



  • Contributes to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed.



  • Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building rapport; and participating in problem solving methods.

Education:

 High School or equivalent

 

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):



  • Preferably 1-3 years relevant experience.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required



  • SAP experience preferred



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 



  • Basic math skills



  • Ability to drive a forklift
