Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Life Cycle Analyst links Supply Chain Planning with Customer Service and the Business Unit.  Life Cycle Analyst leads item transition activities, as well as excess stock disposition, and integrates that information into operational and financial planning processes.  Life Cycle Analyst collects transition and exit data, creates a strategy, and updates the item status accordingly. The Life Cycle Analyst is a utility role, providing support and guidance to other Supply Chain Planning functions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain shortage reports, working with Customer Service to manage customer expectations, find service solutions, and deliver feedback to the scheduling teams and BU.  This is part of the Master Scheduler core responsibility
     
  • Develop and maintain long inventory reports, and work on both root-cause analysis and disposition of inventory, as well as corrective-actions to limit future long inventory.  Communicating with customer service and sales representatives as needed.  Identify and define business risk and assists with financial reserve planning
  • Collaborates with external and internal teams to create, manage, maintain and execute critical product life cycle strategies to successfully transition or exit items to avoid creating DDD.
  • Responsible for material life cycle management activities and master data integrity from activation through decommission
  • Assists with planning of corporate initiatives such as plan integration and SKU rationalization
  • Participant in the daily Review & Respond meetings.  R&R Meetings led by Master Scheduler, with key participants from Customer Service and Transportation (others as needed).  The R&R team discusses open customer orders, potential shortages, and makes decisions on removals, swaps, cuts, or date changes, & potential need to escalate.
  • Support other Supply Chain Planning functions through analysis and reporting, as well as providing backup or supplementary coverage as seasonality or circumstances warrant. 
     
  • Assist the Supply Chain Planning Team in developing and reporting KPIs, as well as with ad-hoc analysis, within and across BUs.  Aid in presenting findings in S&OP and BU Meetings, and in execution of continuous improvement projects aimed at improving SCP performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make decisions
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • Solid organization and prioritization skills, and positive and proactive approach to problems and opportunities.

Education:

Associate Degree/College Diploma (Canada – 2-3 years)
