Position Summary

Maintain and administer a good inventory of the maintenance equipment parts. Order requisitions for the maintenance department parts and equipment. Administer any equipment received for any department.


Responsibilities

Provide items/parts required for maintenance team. Do the inventory check out list. Updates on excel inventory check out list format file. Check and capture work orders for maintenance team. Must keep a good inventory of MRO parts room. Assign work order numbers for material and or items received. Close work orders that have been done. Do “Parts request forms” for maintenance team and assign work order and kit number. Do material requisition and stock items on MRO parts room. Assign location to new items and update on “master inventory file” in excel. Go to the receiving office 2 times a day for items that have arrived for different departments: maintenance, safety, sanitation, QC, Human Resources and Production. Put on stock the items for maintenance in parts room area. Put on stock the items received for Sanitation, Production, Safety and QC on places assigned in parts room. File packing list of the maintenance department ordered parts and supplies. Take and assign numbers for work orders for other departments: QC, Production, safety in which maintenance is completes repairs. Keep a good control of harness equipment (fall protection) for all departments. Keep a good control of all scissors lifts machinery. Support maintenance supervisor/manager with assets and 5’S. Keep parts and room area clean. Any other duties as assigned


Qualifications

*Must be proficient on Microsoft word programs, and record keeping

*Must have a High school diploma or GED certificate

*Must have at least 6 months experience on a manufacture work environment

*Must have at least 2 years of experience in a clerical position

*Must know and understand all types of nuts and allergens processed through the machine.

*Must be able to lift, push pull and carry objects of moderate weight up to 50 pounds.

*Must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work OT/Holidays/Weekends with the ability to go to any shift depending on the production demands.

*Must have basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages.

*Must be able to make conversions from Metric to English standards for weights.

*Must have good communication skills

*Must be able to understand, write and speak Basic English. 

*Must be able to read and write clear, legibly and effectively

*Must be able to be standing and walk long distances for extended periods of time.

*Must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures

*Must be able to effectively move around a manufacturing plant which includes but it’s not   limited to stairs, ladders, platforms and equipment.

*Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures including the use of safety equipment

*Must be able to read, understand and follow written instructions and materials

*Must be able to recognize visual signals, shapes, warning labels or signs
