Responsibilities

  • Arrange machine, and ensure availability of production material needed at the beginning and through work procedures to ensure order, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Associate will be responsible for the operations and productivity of the assigned line. They must be able to effectively communicate with peers and associates in order to achieve plant goals.
  • Observe equipment operations and inspect product goods so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Record information such as the number of products tested, waste, downtime, meters readings, dates and time of product production
  • Mark or tag identification of the product
  • Perform minor repairs such as replacing damaged or worn parts.
  • Use and move finished goods and materials with a pallet jack for further production packing or processing.
  • Report uncommon or difficult troubleshoots to the maintenance personnel.
  • Check package seals at beginning of the shift and every 15 minutes thereafter.
  • Set and check all machine operation information such as speed, packaging films, parameters, enter code date and the metal detector before and during the shift.
  • Ensure calibration of scales, ink, nitrogen level, and sealers before the shift starts.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems to determine and solve the most common faults.
  • Check the product weights every 30 minutes and modify when needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete required forms and end of shift reports and return to production coordinator.
  • Report uncommon or difficult troubleshoots to the maintenance personnel.
  • Must sanitize and clean machinery for product changeovers and general sanitation.
  • Direct, coach and train production associates assigned to the area.
  • Strictly adhere to client specification and ensure good quality work.
  • Will be accountable to TreeHouse Foods safety and quality principles.
  • Will support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 systems.
  • Must maintain work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Report to production leads regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*Must know and understand all types of nuts and allergens processed through the machine.

*Must know how to evaluate the product for roast and/or damage.

*Must be able to lift, push-pull and carry objects of moderate weight up to 50 pounds.

*Must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work OT/Holidays/Weekends with the ability to go to any shift depending on the production demands.

*Must have basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages.

*Must be able to make conversions from Metric to English standards for weights.

*Must have at least 6 months of manufacture operations experience

*Must have a High school diploma or GED certificate

*Must have good communication skills

*Must be able to understand, write and speak Basic English. 

*Must be able to read and write clear, legibly and effectively

*Must be able to be standing for extended periods of time.

*Must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures

*Must be able to effectively move around a manufacturing plant which includes but it’s not   limited to stairs, ladders, platforms and equipment.

*Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures including the use of safety equipment

*Must be able to read, understand and follow written instructions and materials

*Must be able to recognize visual signals, shapes, warning labels or signs

*Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency
