Position Overview:

To contribute to the profitable operation, development, and growth of the Company by planning, organizing, and coordinating the Company's manufacturing site in the areas of production scheduling, raw materials and packaging procurement, and inventory/warehouse management.  To perform all necessary functions related to production scheduling to effectively and efficiently meet customer orders via production planning requirements and shipping schedules along with inventory control management. Ensure that safety, environmental and good housekeeping standards are maintained at the required levels throughout the plant.


  • Perform the production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery, productivity, inventory turns, gross profit, etc.; utilize level loading practices for production lines by using plant loading tools and lean methodology.
  • Create and maintain a sequenced production schedule based upon the needs and consideration for Plant capabilities by managing the SAP system on a daily basis and running weekly reports.
  • Optimize finished good inventory levels to support customer orders and capacity management strategies while avoiding over stock situations.
  • Communicates effectively with respective departments as necessary on any schedule changes, product availability, product conversions, etc. that will adversely affect overall schedule execution or customer expectation.
  • Works directly with the Materials management team and fellow associates to ensure that raw materials and customer supplied items are available to support the production schedule.  Support departmental efforts toward meeting goals and metrics established in alignment with the overall business targets.
  • Support and contribute to the TMOS efforts both plant wide and departmental.
  • Review and react to open order shortages daily.  Create, maintain, and disposition of the Shortage (PVL) Reports.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of finished product, raw materials and distributed product, thereby, ensuring that production requirements and customer needs are met in a timely and acceptable manner.
  • Inform management of any Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
  • Perform other related functional or administrative assignments as required.



  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree, however, a Bachelor’s Degree in a business or a technical related field is strongly desired.


The position has notable independent judgment utilizing various information sources. The position has moderate to high levels of complexity requiring a strong knowledge of production operations. Daily interaction with Management regarding decisions critical to effective daily operations and achievement of financial goals.

  • Minimum 5 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment. Must possess strong technical MRP/ERP knowledge.
  • SAP experience is preferred, 2 years’ experience with any ERP system is required.
  • Must have an understanding of materials management concepts such as forecasting, inventory management and MRP.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills that anticipate issues and address changing needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with others and negotiate effectively.
  • Good written and verbal skills for clear and concise communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Continually seek and identify areas for improvement, in line with the strategic direction of the organization with a view to improving service levels to customers.
  • MS Office proficiency.
