Areas of Responsibility:

• Ensure enough produce is on the line for the Toppers
• Monitor the water temperature of the soak tank/pickles
• Use lock out/tag out whenever working on cutters or when unplugging them
• Work on the line when needed.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Communicate with Forklift Driver on produce needs
• Report any equipment issues to the Line Leader/Supervisor or a member of the Maintenance Team.
• Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues to management as well as the following specific duties involving food safety and quality.

  Sort produce before cutters

  Monitor cutters for plug-ups, wheel effectiveness, cut quality

  Be alert for any product, glass, or date code defects.

  Properly fill out all paperwork required by QA/Production Supervisor

  Insure that all machine guards and all safety switches are in place and in working order on the label machine.

• Inform the Line Leader of any changes in product quality
• Communicate with Maintenance to insure machines are set up and running properly
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF (Safe Quality Food)

• Other duties as assigned
