Job Description:

This position has direct supervision of an Accounts Receivable and Cash Application team.  The individual in this role will assist in the coordination of information and workflow from various internal departments, customers and brokers to ensure the Accounts Receivable team has the necessary information and tools to provide accurate and timely processing of short payments.  This person has responsibility for maintaining a highest of quality of Accounts Receivable while leading initiatives where key performance indicators are not aligned with departmental targets. 


  • In partnership with Finance team, establish departmental goals and performance targets to maintain the highest quality of Accounts Receivable.   
  • Analyze customer key performance indicators; lead/assist in the escalation of customer short payment activity with finance management, sales, brokers and directly with our customer.
  • Attend customer visits; lead or participate in cross functional key account meetings.
  • Develop and implement best practice for Accounts Receivable and Cash Application team; design and implement new work streams or improve upon existing processes, implement business driven technology initiatives with 3rd party providers, Information Technology business architects, TreeHouse Foods’ bank representatives.  
  • Project management to drive improved margins with our customers in areas covering gross to net sales.  
  • Direct supervision and serve as initial point of contact for Accounts Receivable and Cash Application teams on day to day activities, trouble-shooting; maintain detailed understanding of system functionality and financial posting transactions in our Dispute Management system through Business Intelligence reporting. 
  • Establish individual team member goals, conduct semi-annual performance and developmental review (PDRs); monitor performance against departmental targets and team member goals, meet with team members regularly to focus on KPIs; identify opportunities for on-going training; provide or facilitate development and skill set enhancement training for team members; mentor and foster growth of team members; conduct new employee orientation and training, departmental training around new processes, system and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Order to Cash leadership on continuous improvement for departmental efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, for effective interaction with all levels of company
  • Ability to think logically, problem solve and grasp concepts and information technology systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently without the need for daily direct management
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience.  (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s Required:  Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of five years of Accounts Receivable experience and two to three years managing a team.
  • Some Travel Required
